Congratulations to District 6 player Ethan Derman who was a member of the USA2 U16 team which won a Silver Medal at the World Youth Bridge Teams Championship held July 31-August 7, 2023 in Veldhoven in the Netherlands.  His teammates were Daniel Balof, Jack Boge, and Avery Silverstein.

Congratulations to Greg Humphreys and Jenni Carmichael who won the Rockwell Mixed Pairs, and to Greg Humphreys and Adam Parrish who finished 3rd in the very difficult and prestigious Kay Platinum Pairs event.

Congratulations to James Fox, Judy Fox, Maximo Crusizio and Rodrigo Garcia Da Rosa who won the NABC 10,000 KO Teams event. Congratulations to Monique Smith, Dennis Thompson, Bharat Rao, and Himanshu Joshi who finished 4th in the 0-10,000 Swiss Teams competition.

The District 6 North American Pairs (NAP) Finals were held online October 15-16, 2022. Winners in the Open who will represent District 6 at the Spring NABC being held in New Orleans, LA in March 9-19, 2023 are: Weizhong Bao and Hailong Ao, Rusty Krauss and Steve Robinson, and Eric Gettleman and John McAllister.  In Flight B, our winners are: Barbara Devaney and Alexander Stille, Michael Lawrence and Craig Olson, Patrick Herbst and Ben Sharp, and Keith Hafen and John Pegues.  In the NLM event our winners are:  Edward Johnson and Kenneth Iobst, Helin Wei and Xu Li, Pankaj Mody and Clarence Peterson and Kenneth Headley and Lee DeWald Sr. Continue reading…

(Top Ten finishers listed in National events)

Congratulations to Weizhong Bao – Hualin Chen – Jian-Ping Chen – Shihong You for winning the Goldman Flight A GNT event. Our Flight B team of Rick Bingham-Mel Yudkin-Ernie Schuler-Tom Peters also did very well, placing 3/4 in their GNT event, and our Flight C team of Nadejda Drenska, Walter Speigel, Jacob Baron and Daniel Aldrich placed 5/8. Excellent results in a tough event against other Districts’ top players.

Congratulations to Alan Munro, Colin Schloss, James Dahlberg and Nick Migliacci for winning the 2nd bracket of the 0-3000 Team Event on July 16, 2022 and the 3rd bracket of the Bracketed B Team event on July 21, 2022. Congratulations to Rolf Swenson, Kathy Kopnisky, Jichong Chai and R Mani for winning the 6th bracket of the Bracketed B Team event on July 21. Congratulations to Jason Carter, Kathy Kopnisky, Arvind Bhand, and Harriet Lewit for winning the 5th bracket of the Team event on July 22, 2022.

Congratulations to Ron Kral, Val Kovachev, Viktor Aronov and Ahu Nobu for coming in 2nd out of 82 teams in the Top-Flight Swiss teams on July 17, 2022.

Congratulations go to the team of Robbie Hopkins, Joan Lewis, William Pettis, Kent Goulding, Barry Falgout, and Rusty Krauss for winning the District Six GNT Open Finals on May 8, 2022. Coming in 2nd were: Ron Zucker, Michael Richey, Monique Smith, and Merril Hirsh.

In the Finals on May 1, Flight B was won once again by a team led by Rick Bingham, with his teammates: Mel Yudkin, Ernie Schuler, and Tom Peters.

Coming in 2nd were: Dr. Michael Berard, Peter Van Zijl, Murat Berk, and Hakan Berk

Flight C was won on May 1 by Nadejda Drenska, Walter Spiegel, Daniel Aldrich, and Jacob Baron

Coming in 2nd were: Michael Vanous, Elizabeth Lomas, David Dunston, and Doug Helfman
